I provide Valuations for Insurance, Valuations for Probate, Post Loss Valuations and Independent Gem Testing. All types of Jewellery can be Authenticated and Valued: Engagement Rings, Wedding Rings, Necklaces, Bracelets, Pendants and Earrings.
Formal Certification documents are required for Insurance or Probate purposes. Verbal appraisals are also available on request. The cost of an Insurance Valuation with Certificate for a single item is £95. A discounted rate of £75 pounds is applied for second and further items valued, up to four items. Further discounts are applied if you have between five and fifty items that you require valuing. Insurance Valuation certificates include photographs of the individual pieces, and the jewellery pieces are cleaned as part of the service.
Gem Testing and Authentication
If you have a piece of jewellery and are unsure of the gem type, or the metal it's made from, and you wish to have it identified, I can help. The gem testing service is £25 per item tested.
It may be something that you have inherited or possibly even bought online. Sometimes the authenticity of something bought online can be in doubt, and an expert opinion can provide peace of mind. In the case of a dispute with a vendor, professional written authentication stating that an item is not as described can be helpful to enable you to get your money back. The combined fee for testing and provision of a certificate of gem identity authentication is £50.
